As easy as…

A family run park, Mel and Phil look forward to welcoming you to Ashdown. Small and tranquil, and sheltered by mature trees in unspoilt surroundings, Ashdown is perfectly situated for you to enjoy one of the most beautiful parts of the country. Nestled on the parish border between Beer and Colyton in glorious East Devon, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), you’re moments away from intimate wooded combes, pebble-bed heathlands, fertile river valleys and stunning coastal and hilltop views.

Beer is considered one of the most picturesque villages in the South-West, recognisable for its distinctive chalk headlands, sheltered beach with working crab boats, and small and unspoilt charm. The village is also part of the Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site. It was also recently named runner up in Channel 4’s ‘Village of the Year’ competition.

Colyton’s circular street arrangement is typically Saxon. Take a stroll along the winding lanes and you will see a wealth of historical buildings, and on to the Colyton Tram Station, where you can ride the tram alongside the River Axe wetlands to Seaton.
